ASU Homecoming Rally

Close to 10am Sunday morning in Boone NC people started to line up along the road side to welcome their home team. App State University over the weekend won their game over the #6 ranked Texas A&M. This is the second time in App’s history that they have upset a top 10 ranked team! So as you probably could have guessed, the town showed up to welcome home our victors! A large crowd anxiously waited for the buses to round the corner in front of Kidd Brewer Stadium. As they saw the front of the first bus, the crowd erupted with cheers and screams! First off the bus was our fearless Quarterback, number 7, Chase Brice! The crowd greeted him with open arms a cheers! The whole team walked through the tunnel of people as HEROES! Everyone was congratulating them on the well deserved win. After the whole team had entered the building, a few of the players, including Chase Brice and Steven Jones Jr., came back out to high five, hug, and thank everyone for the beautiful love and support. It was a wonderful showcase of how a community can show support and admiration to well deserving team!
